Jane & Nour are getting married in Seoul
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply for a visa to visit Korea?
Citizens of Lebanon
Shout out to our Lebanese (and global south) fam! We reckon most of you are pros at applying for visas, and we hope you'll find the visa process to be straightforward and smooth. Nour has had no trouble with the 6 Korean visas he has applied for. The fee is $40. The turnaround time is usually exactly 2 weeks. More information can be found on the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
We would advise saying that your reason for visiting is simply tourism, not mentioning the wedding or visiting anyone, just to keep things less complicated.
Everyone else (check here if this applies to you)
Apply more than 72 hours before your flight here: https://www.k-eta.go.kr/
Avoid sites that charge extra pretending to be the Korean gov.
Can I bring children?
Yes! Please message us directly regarding specifics.
Should I get beauty treatments before your wedding?
You can get facial massages and lighter, surface level treatments like "Aquapeel," but don't get anything intense before the wedding.
Treatments you shouldn't get pre-wedding: botox, ultrasound, lasers, or skin boosters (PDRN, etc). You shouldn't sweat or exercise after botox and we might be dancing up a storm! Skin boosters can leave raised bumps on your face for up to seven days after, although everyone reacts differently.
If you message Jane, she can share more info for ideas of what you can do before.
What if I don’t know anyone else?
Once we have our final guest list, we’ll add you to a group chat with other folks at your table, including a table captain!
Should I rent a car?
Public transportation is easy and usually faster than driving. Parking is expensive. Unless you plan on road tripping outside of Seoul, we don't recommend renting a car.
If you realllly want to rent a car, know that you will need to get an international driving permit to rent one.
